I was born and raised in San Diego, CA as the son of two incredibly hard-working immigrants. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Diego State University where I graduated cum laude in 2015. I am currently a Legal Assistant for the Immigration Center for Women and Children, a non-profit located in San Francisco. I thrive in client based work and have dedicated myself to a career in public service and advocacy. I hope to further my education in the legal field with an emphasis in immigration, criminal justice and civil rights law. My passions include reading, traveling and exploring the great outdoors. |

I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I attended Lowell High School and graduated from UC Santa Cruz in three years. My major is Legal Studies and within my three years of attending UC Santa Cruz, I had the opportunity to be an intern at the Scottish Parliament as well as to teach English in Rome. I have a passion for international law and immigration law. Other than aspiring to be an immigration lawyer, I love to dance, sing and figure skate. |

Hideyasu Kurose
Born in Kobe and raised in Osaka, Japan, I immigrated to the United States in 2003. To support my family in South Central, I worked nights as a sushi chef while attending Los Angeles City College. After transferring to UC Berkeley to major in Comparative Literature, I began to volunteer within the Alameda Courts and write freelance editorials emphasizing civil rights and social justice. Fluent in Japanese, Spanish, and English, I tirelessly utilize my trilingual abilities to conduct relevant research pertaining to human rights and translate for those that find themselves in precarious legal situations. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and spending time with my two children. |
